Molo MP Kimani Kuria revealed that he lost three cars, 10,000 chickens, six rare cows, and 29 goats.

The extent of looting and vandalism at Molo MP Kimani Kuria’s rural home has been fully disclosed. The MP’s Nakuru residence was attacked during anti-tax protests on Tuesday, June 25.
Protesters set the two-storey mansion on fire and looted various items, leading to the arrest of four suspects for arson.
As chairman of the National Assembly’s Finance and Planning Committee, MP Kimani Kuria has been embroiled in controversy over new tax proposals seen as punitive by many Kenyans.
To disperse a large crowd of protesters who broke into the MP’s property, police had to use tear gas. The youths clashed with the police, throwing stones that broke the house’s windows.
Videos circulating online showed journalists touring the damaged property and compound where Kuria’s animals were kept. Some animals died in the fire, while others were stolen. Of the six rare cows, each valued at over Ksh 300,000, three were found alive. All 29 stolen goats were also recovered. Additionally, two cars were burnt, and a third was vandalized.
Despite the protesters’ intense force, the police eventually called for reinforcements and secured the house, which is now under heavy security.
