A trader tragically lost his life while on a mission to deliver a brand new Range Rover Sport to its owner in Nairobi. The ill-fated journey came to a sudden and devastating end when the luxury vehicle collided with a lorry carrying maize along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
Jamal Mubarak, the driver of the Range Rover, was on his way to deliver the vehicle to its eager owner in Nairobi, but unfortunately, the journey was cut short by a horrific accident at Maji Ya Chumvi, a notorious black spot on the highway near Mariakani. This stretch of road has been known to be particularly hazardous, and it was here that Mubarak’s life was tragically cut short.
According to police reports, the accident involved Mubarak’s Range Rover and a Canter lorry that was transporting grains. The incident occurred when Mubarak attempted an improper overtaking maneuver, which resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming Isuzu FRR.
The Isuzu was being driven by 58-year-old Stanley Maina, who was heading towards Mombasa. Maina’s vehicle was just one of many that use this highway on a daily basis, and it was unfortunate that it was involved in this tragic accident.
